Centre for Excellence in Learning and Teaching

Focus on Teaching – August 2018

It's hard to believe that in one short month the campus will again be alive with students and buzzing with energy. We invite you to take the time to make note of some of our upcoming events, workshops, and conferences related to teaching and learning as you get your calendars ready for the start of term.

As you may already know, our K-16 Partnership Project, funded by a TRU SIF is well underway. Please join us in welcoming Susan Lidster as our project coordinator! Susan brings with her a wealth of experience working with the local school district, and is part of a team leading the new STEM education program. Susan will be working with CELT to provide funding and support for projects that link faculty at TRU with local teachers, leading to enhanced learning experiences for all students.

Lastly, if you know of any new faculty starting at TRU this fall, or if you are a faculty member who has been at TRU for less than one year, please register for our two-day New Faculty Orientation.
