Human rights and China

  Posted on: August 19, 2021

As the US and China hold high-level talks, Canadians wonder about the fate of Michael Kovrig and Michael Spavor who have been detained in China for more than two years and whose one-day trail was held in secrecy from Canadian officials.

Dr. Robert Hanlon, TRU associate professor of political science, is finishing a book on the politics of corporate social responsibility and China while starting another book on Canada-China relations from a human security perspective. He is available for interviews on China/Hong Kong/Taiwan relations with Canada, human rights and human security in Asia and the politics of Asia.
