On October 5th, TRU announced its largest-ever single donation, a generous $5 million gift from Dr. Sherman Jen of Maple Leaf Education Systems. Dr. Jen’s extraordinary donation will open doors to valuable research and learning experiences for faculty and students in the Faculty of Education and Social Work, with $1.5 million of the funds designated to support research in the Faculty of Education as well as the Faculty of Science, and $1 million earmarked for the Dr. Sherman Jen Student Scholarship Endowment, to support scholarships in Education, Social Work, the Master of Education program, Science, Trades and Technology, and Law.
