More than 200 participants and spectators from infants to older elders were on campus for the TRU Reconciliation Pow Wow: Honouring Our Culture Through Education.

The March 11-12 event attracted people from parts of BC, Alberta and the United States

In all the weekend featured three grand entries, with two on Saturday (noon and 7 p.m.) and one on Sunday (noon).

Some of the dignitaries included
  • MC, arena director, head dancers and host drum
  • MC: Devin Bellerose, Creen Nation, Driftpile, AB
  • Arena director: Meleme-st’ye Everett White, Dene’h, Canyonlands, Arizona
  • Head man dancer: Louie Quilt, Chilcotin, Stone, BC
  • Head lady dancer: Ashley Michel, Secwepemc, Kamloops
  • Host drum: Sage Hills, Kamloops
