On Feb. 4 the Ministry of Advanced Education announced funding for TRU to purchase new trades training equipment as part of BC’s Skills for Jobs Blueprint, supporting trades students who are entering in-demand occupations. At the announcement, TRU President Alan Shaver, Advanced Education Minister Andrew Wilkinson, and second year plumbing student Mark Hunter.

The President’s Report is produced each month for presentation to the TRU Board of Governors and TRU Senate.

February’s issue features a Trades funding announcement  of $325,274 on Feb. 4, and TRU Law’s inaugural issue of Canadian Journal of Comparative and Contemporary Law. We congratulate TRU WolfPack, who took home both Men’s and Women’s President Cup trophies in the UBCO rivalry.

This issue also features presentations and publications from arts, business, social work, law, nursing and science.
