“No experience needed—just a positive attitude and willingness to have some fun,” said TRU Recreation Coordinator Pina Russo of what her department offers. “Find a balance between work and play and give yourself a wellness break.”
TRU Recreation offers students, faculty and staff a mix of free fitness classes and activities. And for a small cost, intramural sports and special events.
“TRU Recreation is a great way to meet new friends, to try out new activities, and to decrease academic stresses,” said Russo.
Free fitness classes and open gym
See the Recreation website for a variety of free drop-in fitness classes in the Fitness Studio (lower level of the TRU Gym), including circuit, Zumba, yoga, meditation and boot camp. Try the drop-in badminton or start a game of volleyball or soccer during drop-in gym times, with equipment provided.
Intramurals and special events
For the fall semester: Join any of the four intramural sports: basketball, floor hockey, soccer, and volleyball. Create your own team or join as a free agent.
