TRU Repair Café

Do you have small household items or clothing and textiles that need to be repaired or altered?

Don’t throw them away; bring them to the Repair Café!

The Repair Café is a free event organized by the TRU Sustainability Office in partnership with Repair Café Kamloops and TRU Makerspace.

It will take place on Tuesday, Mar. 5 from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. at Makerspace which is located on the first floor in the Brown Family House of Learning.

The event is open to all, and no registration is needed.

Items that will be accepted at the TRU event include:

• Clothing and textiles that need typical repairs
• Small household electronic appliances and electrical items
• Wood furniture that needs simple repairs
• Bicycles

Items that will not be accepted include:

• Gas or other fuel powered devices
• Computers or cell phones
• Anything that needs two or more people to carry
