The TRU community is invited to presentations by candidates for the tenure-track Secwépemc Curriculum Developer position in the Learning Design and Innovations Department.
Candidate 1: Friday, June 5, 10 to 10:45 a.m.
Candidate 2: Monday, June 8, 10 to 10:45 a.m.
Location: NPH 316, Chappell Family Building for Nursing and Population Health
Candidates have been asked to prepare and deliver a presentation to a discipline or faculty of their choice, outlining their approach to curriculum development within a post-secondary context.
They will demonstrate how they would center and privilege Secwépemc ways of knowing, being and learning within that curriculum, highlighting how their curriculum reflects:
- Secwépemc worldview, values and knowledge systems
- Respectful integration of language, land-based learning and cultural teachings
- Engagement with Secwépemc communities, including Elders and Knowledge Keepers
