Medical assistance in dying (MAiD) has been legal for people with reasonably foreseeable natural death (RFND) and has continued to expand to include those without RFND (in 2021) and those with sole mental disorders (ongoing).
This presentation explores the clinical and legal challenges related to the evolving eligibility criteria for MAiD in these different contexts.
