Musical fundraiser for faculty member’s play

Celebrate Earth Day and support the theatre production of Arts faculty member George M. Johnson’s eco-comedy play, Boomerangst.

This fundraiser includes live music by Doc and the Disorderlies and the Freudian Slips, as well as food and a silent auction, all to support the Chimera Theatre’s production of Boomerangst in June.

The play is an innovative eco-comedy written about and for Kamloops and its environment. Stephen P. Dunn, an assistant director of numerous major Hollywood movies, reviewed Boomerangst and called it “an extraordinary original comedy.”

The fundraiser will include the launch of the play’s song Climate Crisis, written by George and his son Ben and performed by Intensive Care. There’s also an accompanying video produced by Mastermind Studios that will be launched at this event.

The fundraiser takes place at the Kamloops United Church, 421 St. Paul St.
