TRU BLSA’s second event for Black History Month features TRU Alum Claire Brown!

Claire earned her JD from TRU in 2019, and was admitted to the Bar as a member of the Law Society of Alberta in 2020. Claire became a lawyer because she wants to assist individuals who are in vulnerable positions, and she brings her diverse background and experiences to her legal practice. Her interest in criminal defence law stems from the belief that everyone has a right to meaningful legal representation as guaranteed by the law.

Claire will be speaking with us about her experience at Engel Law, and building her community in law as a person of colour!
