Collaborate on a nature-based scavenger hunt on campus to discover and catalogue as many species of flora, fauna and fungi for biodiversity research!
Date: Tuesday, Sept. 22
Time: 10 a.m. – 2 p.m.
Location: Old Main, front entrance
Open to everyone. No registration required.
This event creates a snapshot of the local biodiversity, providing an opportunity to engage with science while spending time in nature.
The observations generated will populate a campus biodiversity audit.
At the BioBlitz Base camp (Old Main’s front entrance), get set up on the iNaturalist app. Grab a BioBlitz bingo card and walk around campus recording your observations of plants, animals, insects and fungi in the app.
Once you’ve achieved a bingo line, go back to the base camp for a sustainability-related prize.
All bingo cards collected will be entered in a draw for a $50 TRU Food Services gift card.
