President’s Circle welcomes new members

Thompson Rivers University’s (TRU) President’s Circle has 15 new members. The President’s Circle recognizes extraordinary contributions to the university — specifically, cumulative financial donations of $100,000 and above. 

The newest members were inducted on Sept. 7 and are as follows:

  • Pay My Tuition 
  • Dr. Alan Shaver 
  • Teck Resources Limited  
  • Urban Systems and Urban Systems Foundation  
  • The Zawaduk Family  

* Recognized posthumously

Total donations from newly inducted donors represent over $2.1 million while total donations from all 114 President’s Circle members represent $64 million. Donations to TRU support student scholarships and bursaries, capital projects and research. 

The President’s Circle was established in 2010 to recognize donors’ lifelong contributions to TRU in a more intimate way and to encourage them to maintain a long-term close affiliation with the university.
