TRU has received top recognition from the Council for Advancement and Support of Education (CASE) with a 2024 Gold Circle of Excellence Award for the 2022-23 Report on Philanthropy.
Your Report on Philanthropy is published annually in print and online by the Office of Advancement, showcasing the impact of charitable contributions to the university. The 2022-23 Report on Philanthropy, written by TRU Advancement and designed by TRU Marketing and Communications, showcased how philanthropy advances reconciliation, scholarship, athletic achievement and more. It featured the words of students, donors, faculty and alumni.
CASE is an international organization with members in 28 countries and the Circle of Excellence Awards are the premier recognition program for educational advancement. These peer-selected and adjudicated awards celebrate colleges, universities and schools worldwide. Winners are chosen for overall quality, innovation, use of resources and the impact on the institution or its communities, such as alumni, students, faculty and staff.
TRU’s recognition from CASE arrives on the heels of accolades from its Canadian counterpart, the Canadian Council for the Advancement of Education (CCAE). TRU received a 2024 Gold Prix d’Excellence Award for the 2022-23 Report on Philanthropy in addition to one gold and two bronze awards for TRU Alumni initiatives. Read the story here.
“We are proud to be recognized by our peers for excellence in educational advancement,” says Associate Vice-President Advancement Kim Cassar Torreggiani.
“Our office has the privilege of working with generous donors and alumni who believe in education and the power of knowledge creation in bettering our world. Advancement is fortunate to be the broadcaster for incredible work happening at TRU, as showcased in the award-winning philanthropy report.”
The 2023-2024 Report on Philanthropy will be published in September.
In 2023, TRU Alumni received a Bronze Circle of Excellence Award for the 12 Days of Alumni holiday campaign in the category of Alumni Relations Initiatives.
“As we mark CASE’s 50th anniversary this year, we are taking time to celebrate our members across the globe,” says CASE President and CEO Sue Cunningham.
“Examples of their remarkable work are evident throughout the Circle of Excellence Awards. We applaud the achievements and innovation of advancement professionals across all sectors and all regions—work in schools, colleges and universities that advances education and thereby transforms lives and society.”
