TRU/TRUFA Bargaining Update – January 13, 2016
The key proposals that Thompson Rivers University (TRU) and Thompson Rivers University Faculty Association (TRUFA) have on the bargaining table are now available. http://www.tru.ca/updates/thefacts.html
TRU’s proposals are focused on excellence, accountability, recruitment/retention and research-informed education. The agreement must be consistent with the government’s Economic Stability Mandate, and must be affordable for the institution now and going forward as general wage increases compound over time.
TRUFA’s proposals tabled on October 20, 2015 would have an estimated cost increase of more than 49% without including benefit improvements.
