The following from Provost and Vice-President Academic Dr. Ulrich Scheck announces the appointment of Dr. Michael Bluhm as the new Associate Vice-President Strategic Enrolment and University Registrar.

Dear TRU Community,

I am pleased to announce the appointment of Mr. Michael Bluhm to the role of Associate Vice-President Strategic Enrolment and University Registrar, effective August 1, 2015.

Michael comes to us from Kwantlen Polytechnic University in Surrey, where he was the Acting Associate Registrar, Admissions, Graduation and Enrolment Services, leading a team of about 40 staff and serving students across seven faculties and four campuses. He has also worked for the University of Alberta as an enrolment management consultant, was the Director of Enrolment at the University of British Columbia’s Faculty of Applied Science, and prior to that, the Associate Director of Undergraduate Admissions at UBC. He holds a Master of Education from the University of British Columbia, and completed his undergrad at the University of Waterloo.

As AVP Strategic Enrolment and University Registrar, Michael will apply his experience in institutional enrolment management and strategy, policy research and development, data analysis, process and systems development, student recruitment and service delivery to lead our efforts to position the Registrar’s Office at the core of how we support all learners at TRU.
