Still free. Still loud. Now legendary.
Once a year, TRU’s campus transforms into the loudest, most exclusive winter-event in the Interior.
On Friday, Nov. 20 at 6 p.m., Rail Riot 4 takes over the iconic Old Library staircase (878 College Drive, Kamloops) for a night of high-energy skiing, snowboarding, and community spirit.
Hosted by the TRUSU’s Out Here Ski & Snowboard Club, this invitational rail jam is a one-of-a-kind spectacle: B.C.’s best freestyle athletes throwing down on a legendary handrail, under the lights, in front of a crowd that keeps getting louder and bigger every year.
It happens once a year. It happens here. And it’s free to attend.
Expect high-energy riding, an electric crowd and giveaways from sponsors including Red Bull and Spoke Bike & Ski. Whether you’re here for the tricks, the atmosphere, or the community, Rail Riot has become the event in Kamloops that you don’t want to miss.
“Rail Riot is more than an event – it’s a tradition,” says event coordinator and founder Justin Tarasoff. “It’s the one night a year where TRU and Kamloops come together to kick off the ski and snowboard season in the most authentic way possible.”
