About the Presenters:

Mark Bertoli is the owner of Abbott Wealth Management in Kamloops. He is an award-winning philanthropist and national keynote speaker on the topic of business practice management. Mark has owned successful businesses in the BC Interior. Among them, he has developed and built commercial real estate properties. Mark is passionate about helping others and measures his success by the prosperity of those around him. Abbott Wealth Management’s mission is “We improve lives,” and Mark has also made that his personal mission. He has received numerous awards, most recently the 2022 Chamber of Commerce Employer of the Year Award and Rotarian of the Year.

Nena Jocic-Andrejevic is the director of planned giving and stewardship at the TRU Foundation, a certified fundraising executive and a devoted community volunteer. Over the past 33 years, Nena has specialized in charitable estate planning; while working with post-secondary institutions and in consulting, she has helped more than 40 charities in Alberta and BC establish successful fundraising departments, initiatives and governance practices. She is known as a “roll-up-your-sleeves” volunteer and has sat on countless charitable boards. At present, she is actively involved with Western Canada Theatre. As a donor herself, Nena is passionate about philanthropy and has helped scores of individuals and families achieve their philanthropic visions.
