The Canada and Asia Pacific Policy Project (CAPPP) at Thompson Rivers University is proud to host an international conference on Non-Traditional Security (NTS) Threats in the Indo-Pacific region.

We are honoured to announce that Hon. Harjit Sajjan, the former Minister of National Defence, Government of Canada and Dr. Paul Evans (professor Emeritus, University of British Columbia) will deliver keynote addresses.

The two-day event will bring together leading scholars, policymakers, practitioners, and students to explore pressing issues of:

  • Climate Change
  • Human Security
  • Transnational Crimes
  • Disaster Governance
  • Energy Security
  • Cybersecurity
  • Humanitarian Assistance

The conference will feature a diverse range of panels and workshops focusing on innovative solutions to emerging security challenges in the Indo-Pacific.

It will also provide a platform for fostering collaboration between academia, government, defense and civil society while mentoring the next generation of experts.
