The Den
Monday – Saturday, 10:30 a.m. – 10 p.m., CAC
This fall don’t miss The Den’s daily $13 special and weekly features from 5 p.m. to closing—like their Friday pasta special and Saturday menu BOGO. Yes, you read that right, they’re now open Saturdays!
For sports fans, The Den will be playing WolfPack away games, as well as NFL™ and NHL™ games.
Tim Hortons
Monday – Thursday, 7:30 a.m. – 5 p.m.; Friday, 7:30 a.m. – 4 p.m., House of Learning
Tim Hortons will be back better than ever next week, with a grand re-opening planned for Monday, Sept. 12, after a summer of extensive renovations. Watch the Food for U website or follow Food Services on Instagram for details.
Starbucks
Monday – Thursday, 7:30 a.m. – 8 p.m.; Friday, 7:30 a.m. – 5 p.m., Old Main
Love coffee? Fully-licensed Starbucks has all your favourites, as well as breakfast sandwiches, paninis, muffins, scones, croissants, cookies, iced drinks and various tea selections.
U&M Deli / Bento Sushi
Monday – Thursday, 7:30 a.m. – 4 p.m.; Friday, 7:30 a.m. – 3 p.m., Old Main
U&M goes local this fall, with BC brands like Fresh Is Best, Twisted Goat, Wild Mountain Jun, Wise Owls, CHOC XO, Hardbite and Farming Karma Fruit Co. They’re also increasing halal options. Bento Sushi favourites like poke, rice bowls and bento boxes are now available at the deli.
Subway
Monday – Thursday, 10:30 a.m. – 6:30 p.m.; Friday, 10:30 a.m. – 5 p.m.
Saturday and Sunday, 10:30 a.m. – 2 p.m., International Building
Now open on weekends, follow the scent of fresh-baked bread to Subway’s brand new location in the International Building.
The Workbench—featuring Gyldis Pizza
Monday – Friday, 7:30 a.m. – 2:30 p.m., Trades and Technology Building
In one of two pop-ups featured for the fall term, Gyldis Pizza is taking over lunch at The Workbench, serving up their pizza, wings, donairs and garlic ribs between 10:30 a.m. and 2:30 p.m.
Urban Market—featuring Afrofusion
Monday – Friday, 10:30 a.m. – 5 p.m., CAC
The second of two pop-ups this fall, Afrofusion brings their unique African-Western flavours to the Urban Market. Check out jollof and fried rice, Nigerian chicken, beef suya, plantains and more.
Kamloops NorthPaws Kanteen
Monday – Friday, 10 a.m. – 6 p.m. between Old Main and International Building
The NorthPaws food trailer is back starting Wednesday, Sept. 7. The menu changes regularly and features weekly specials.
Scratch Café and Market
Wednesday – Friday, 8 – 9:30 a.m. (breakfast) and 11:30 a.m. – 1 p.m. (lunch), Culinary Arts
The Scratch Café and Market opens on Wednesday, Sept. 14, serving the fresh creations of TRU culinary arts students, including soups, entrees, desserts and, for fall, hot breakfast. The market, open 8 a.m. to 2 p.m., features take-away items from the culinary and retail meat programs, from oven-ready dinners to beef jerky and baked goods.
Common Grounds
Monday – Friday, 8 a.m. – 9 p.m.; Saturday and Sunday, 10 a.m. – 9 p.m., Students’ Union Building
Common Grounds is a student-owned and operated coffee shop, featuring fairly-traded organic espresso, organic Bean Around the World coffees, biodegradable cups and containers, and fresh, locally-made breakfast, lunch and dinner options. Bring your reusable mug for a 50-cent discount.
PizzaForno
24/7, Old Main
PizzaForno’s automated pizzeria serves up fresh, delicious artisanal pizza (prepared here on campus) 24 hours a day, seven days a week. Order your pizza hot or select the cold option to take-and-bake your pizza at home. Until Sept. 30, get $3 off any pizza after 5 p.m. and on Saturdays and Sundays. Payment by MasterCard, Visa, debit and mobile pay apps.
