Movies to be screened during International Days 2013

International Days 2013 has announced three movies will be screened as part of the events spanning this year’s events running Feb. 4-8.

All movies are free to attend and will be held in the Alumni Theatre, located in the Clock Tower building.

MONDAY, Feb. 4Riding Alone for Thousands of Miles
4:30-6:30pm, Alumni Theatre (Clock Tower)

Riding Along for Thousands of Miles is about a Japanese father who travels to China’s Yunnan province in the place of his ailing son to film a famous folk-opera star.

This Chinese drama is from 2005, rated as being PG, and is 107 minutes long. The original title is Qian li zou dan qi.

TUESDAY, Feb. 5Life in a Day
1:30-3:20pm, Alumni Theatre (Clock Tower)

Life in a Day is a documentary shot by filmmakers all over the world that serves as a time capsule to show future generations what it was like to be alive on the 24th of July, 2010.

The movie is a documentary drama from Russia, is rated PG, and runs 95 minutes.

WEDNESDAY, Feb. 6My Name is Khan
3:30-6:15pm, Alumni Theatre (Clock Tower)

My name is Khan is about an Indian Muslim man with Asperger's syndrome who takes a challenge to speak to the President seriously, and embarks on a cross-country journey.

The movie from the Netherlands is described as being a drama, romance, and thriller. It is 165 minutes long and has a PG rating.
