Lt.-Col. Tyler’s military biography
Lieutenant-Colonel Kevin Tyler retired from a full 35-year regular army career in 2014. He continues to serve part-time as a reservist with 39 Canadian Brigade Group (39 CBG – BC’s Army reserves), planning the 2016 reserve concentration exercise. His background is infantry, regimental affiliations being the Rocky Mountain Rangers and prior to that the Royal Canadian Regiment.
Lt.-Col. Tyler grew up in Western Canada, completing high school in Grande Prairie. With the Canadian Armed Forces he has served throughout Canada and overseas. His postings have alternated between regimental, training and staff.
