Cariboo Regional Skills, Cariboo Junior Skills Competitions and TRU Try-A-Trade

TRU School of Trades and Technology is hosting the Cariboo Regional Skills, Cariboo Junior Skills Competitions and TRU Try-A-Trade on Friday, March 2.

The Cariboo Regional Skills Competition is primarily for secondary students although some post-secondary competitions may be held as a “warm-up” to the Skills BC competition. Gold medal winners in the Cariboo Regional Skills Competition may be invited to compete in the Skills BC competition. Competitions get underway at 9:00 am at TRU School of Trades and Technology building.

Competitors from the Regional high schools, elementary, schools and TRU’s Trades & Technology students will compete in the following categories:
•Automotive Service
•Cabinet Making
•Carpentry
•Culinary Arts
•Electrical Wiring
•Hairdressing
•Heavy Duty Service
•Plumbing
•Welding
Competitors from the regional high schools will compete in the following “Virtual Competitions” categories from their own schools:
•Architectural CAD
•Mechanical CAD
•TV and Video Production
•Web Design
