As the COVID-19 pandemic began, the province’s respiratory therapists found themselves on the front lines, tackling severe symptoms caused by the virus in some patients while adapting models of care for those with other breathing difficulties. TRU has BC’s only respiratory therapy program. The clinical site co-ordinator Lindsay Wetterstrand says at the beginning of the pandemic, they were constantly adapting to new information. Read more
