Speaker Bio:  Dr. Jason Shogren is the Stroock Professor of Natural Resource Conservation & Management and a Professor of Economics at the University of Wyoming.  He has published several books and over 150 articles on topics involving climate change, environmental economics, genetically modified foods, invasive species, agricultural economics, and experimental economics.  Dr. Shogren was a member of the UN Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change that shared the 2007 Nobel Peace Prize.  Dr. Shogren received a PhD from the University of Wyoming and taught at Appalachian State, Iowa State and Yale universities before returning to Wyoming in 1995. He was an economic advisor to President Clinton and he is an accomplished musician and front man for J Shogren Shanghai’d, a five-member band that plays an eclectic mix of Wyoming Mountain Blues
