Traditions and Transitions: History of the Nursing Programs at Thompson Rivers University, 1973-2003

This book is an historical review of the development and evolution of nursing programs in Kamloops and Williams Lake, BC, during this 30-year period. The book contains significant historical context including health care and nursing education globally, nationally and provincially. As well, the book focuses on the local milieu and the evolution of the institution from Cariboo College to University College of the Cariboo and to Thompson Rivers University.

The 550 photos and text are a tribute to all graduates, faculty, administrators and colleagues in practice settings who have been part of the traditions and transitions. It will be of interest to graduates, nurse educators, historians, professional organizations and the TRU community.
