The media plays a key role in our democracy but covering local elections is a complex job that is only growing more difficult as artificial intelligence and social media use proliferates.
Castanet’s Kristen Holliday, CFJC’s James Peters and The Tyee’s Tyler Olsen will talk about the legal, ethical, technical and logistical questions that arise when covering municipal elections, and how they cover Kamloops politics.
The panel will include a question-and-answer session.
