In spring 2026, Thompson Rivers University became an Employer Partner with the Canadian Centre for Diversity and Inclusion (CCDI), reinforcing its commitment to advancing equity, diversity, inclusion and anti-racism across the university.
As a CCDI Employer Partner, TRU joins hundreds of organizations across Canada committed to building more inclusive workplaces and communities. The partnership provides access to nationally recognized research, educational resources, webinars, networking opportunities and communities of practice that will help strengthen inclusive practices and support ongoing learning across the university.
The partnership aligns with TRU’s ongoing efforts to foster a university where all members of the community feel welcomed, respected and empowered to succeed.
“Our commitment to equity, diversity, inclusion and anti-racism is fundamental to who we are as a university,” said Dr. Airini, president and vice-chancellor. “Through this partnership, TRU is strengthening our capacity to learn, grow and lead with intention as we continue advancing this work across our university. Partnerships like this help us learn together, deepen our understanding and strengthen the inclusive culture that enables our students, employees and communities to flourish.”
TRU’s Office of Equity, Diversity, Inclusion and Anti-Racism will incorporate CCDI resources and learning opportunities into its ongoing work, creating opportunities for the university community to engage with national conversations, emerging research and leading practices in equity, diversity, inclusion and accessibility.

It provides access to evidence-informed resources and toolkits that will help strengthen not only our work across the university, but in creating a culture of belonging throughout our community.”
CCDI welcomed TRU as an Employer Partner, noting the value of working together to strengthen inclusive workplaces and learning environments.
