The TRU Accessibility Committee invites you to participate in recognizing International Day of Persons with Disabilities on Tuesday, Dec. 3.
This session is free to attend, but registration is requested by Dec. 2. Light snacks are provided.
Join us at the House of Learning, room 190, from 12:30 to 2:30 p.m. The event features the Accessibility Committee sharing information on the TRU Accessibility Action Plan, along with representatives from People in Motion. People in Motion has enjoyed a longstanding relationship with TRU and has worked together with TRU on initiatives like Access Awareness Day, accessible transportation and community accessibility for many years.
Speakers include:
- Debora DeLyzer, People in Motion executive director representing the City of Kamloops, TNRD and BC Housing accessibility engagement groups.
- Todd Harding, chair of the City of Kamloops Accessibility Engagement Group, board of directors People In Motion, community reach team member,
- Dominque Baird, People In Motion staff member for IMOVE program and a member of People In Motion for over 20 years.
- Stu Wymer, community accessibility advocate
