The prize honours Justice Rosalie Silberman Abella and celebrates her commitment to equality and equity in Canada and beyond. Winners are those most likely to positively influence social justice and equity after graduation.

While at TRU, Parth volunteered with the Pro Bono Students Canada, Amici Curiae Friends of Court and the TRU Community Legal Clinic. He served as a research assistant for Associate Professor Andrew Pilliar, where his research focused on self-represented litigants and improving access to justice. He received the Law Foundation of BC Public Interest Award and won first place in the BC Law Schools Moot.

Parth is currently articling with Dentons Canada LLP in Calgary.

The 23 Justice Rosalie Silberman Abella Prize winners will be recognized during the RSC awards ceremony at Simon Fraser University on Nov. 9.
