People of all ages enjoy the TRU Horticulture Gardens. Tours of the gardens are available all summer long.

Summer on the Thompson Rivers University campus isn’t all about classes.

There’s campus tours, the brilliance of flower-blooms, panoramic views of the rivers and valleys, the sound of laughing children taking part in a variety of summer camps, and more.


Campus Tours
The summer tour program is a great way for incoming students to get familiar with the campus before starting classes in September.

The campus tours are also open to anyone interested in learning more about TRU, community members are also welcome.

Summer tours run weekdays from July 2 to Aug. 29 at 10am and 2pm. Tours will start from Students’ Corner in BMO Student Street in Old Main.

Garden Tours
Next door, in House 10, TRU Friends of the Gardens (FOB) offers tours of the BC Interior’s largest botanical collection.

Tours are each Wednesday evening 6:30-7:30pm through Aug. 20. For more information, call FOG line at 250-318-1094 and leave a message.

A campus tour is a great way to familiarize or reacquaint yourself with the TRU campus in Kamloops.


Summer Camps
The university campus has become the ideal spot for a dozens of day camps appealing to fledgling athletes, novice CSI types, and more.


EUReKA! summer camps — There are still sessions available for the popular EUReKA! camps.

The non-profit, student-run organization based out of TRU strives to increase elementary student’s interest in and excitement towards science and engineering, and to help teachers brings science into the regular classroom.

EUReKA! summer camps emphasize fun and challenging, hands-on problem solving activities. Children ages 7-14 may come and join EUReKA! for a week-long fun-filled science camp.

WolfPack summer camps — Young athletes get a chance to hone their skills at WolfPack Summer Camps.

The WolfPack offer a variety of sports camps, multi-sports camps, and a French Language sport camp.
