Dr. Jim Hu and Linda Westberg of the English as a Second Language Department presented their research on November 1st as part of the Fall 2017 Faculty of Education and Social Work Research Provocations seminar series. In their talk, Simultaneous oral-written feedback approach (SOWFA): Students’ preferred writing response, Hu and Westberg explored the ways in which university students learning a second language prefer to receive feedback. The EDSW Fall 2017 Research Provocations series runs every Wednesday from 5:00 – 6:00 pm through December 6th; the full program for the ten-week interdisciplinary series, which is open to all members of the TRU community, can be read here.
