With a big vision for the coming years, TRU’s board pitched some of its pressing needs to a touring select standing committee on finance and government services.

Among the immediate concerns is $8 million for the construction of a new nursing building valued at about $31 million. Along with more teaching and lab space, the building will allow the nursing program to grow by about 100 seats and be on pace with the growing demand for nurses.

The presentation was made in Kamloops on Sept. 20, 2016.

TRU Students’ Union also went before the committee to make a separate, yet complementary presentation.
