Bachelor of Fine Arts year end show - #16

One of the pieces in this year's show.

After a comprehensive review of the facts, the Faculty of Arts is going ahead with the year-end Fine Arts Exhibition. This date will be set soon after the Department of Visual and Performing Arts has the opportunity to explore various date options with respect to the availability of suitable space.  Based on the advice of the assessment team, with input from the RCMP, the Office of the Dean of Arts is confident that this exhibition can proceed.

The review of the circumstances that led up to the current situation revealed a complex set of interpersonal relationship issues.  TRU and the RCMP have examined allegations and concerns about conflict that have arisen with this group of students and believe that a focus upon a more civil and collegial learning environment will assist in addressing these concerns. Although all students were not involved in the events, in order to create an environment conducive to a successful show, all students from this cohort will be expected to agree to appropriate conduct to access studio space and to participate in the Exhibition.

At this time, no discipline of any students involved is contemplated, yet this will not be ruled out if new information is brought forward.

We thank  everyone for their patience and understanding.
