Environmental Giving in Canada is on the rise!

According to Assistant Professor Lamb and Assistant Professor Hossain, both teaching at Thompson Rivers University, the demand for environmental quality in Canada has increased over time. They published their findings recently in the peer reviewed journal Economic Papers. In order to uncover the increased demand they compared data from the 1997 National Survey of Giving, Volunteering and Participating with those reported in the 2007 Canada survey. Using sophisticated econometric tools they uncovered the economic, sociology-demographic and geographic factors that influence the probability of donating and the amount of the donation expenditure.
