FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
THURSDAY, FEB. 7, 2019

KAMLOOPS–Students from two Kamloops elementary schools are going gunnal to gunnal in the second annual Cardboard Boat Races held by TRU’s School of Trades and Technology.

Media are invited to come out on Friday, Feb. 22, to catch the action as students are divided into 12 teams to design and build their best water worthy cardboard boats within three hours.

In the morning, they’ll be working in the TRU old gym and transporting their creations over to the TCC.

In the afternoon, they will race their creations at the Tournament Capital Centre pool, with heats starting around 1 p.m. Sink or swim, this is a great photo op and a lot of fun to watch.
