Capital Planning Information Session

April 5, 2017

Colleagues,

Eight years ago, TRU’s Long-term Capital Plan included the renovation and expansion of Old Main, a new Industrial Training and Technology facility and a new Nursing building. With the recent provincial funding announcement of $8 million towards a new Nursing and Population Health Building, we have now completely fulfilled TRU’s Long-term Capital Plan.

As we contemplate our infrastructure and the development of the physical campus going forward, we need to identify future projects that are aligned with our strategic priorities, academic and research requirements, and student life. The development of our next Long-term Capital Plan cannot occur in isolation, and ensuring that our community understands the process and how it can participate in these discussions is important so that we build the campus that meets our current needs and anticipates the needs of the future.

As such, we are pleased to invite you to an information session on Monday Apr. 10, 2017 to learn more about TRU’s capital planning process and how faculties, departments and the community can participate. The information session is scheduled from 1 to 3 p.m. in the Mountain Room. Refreshments will be available. We hope to see you there!

Kind regards,

Christine Bovis-Cnossen
