To watch: Gasoline demand in Alberta after carbon tax

Dr. Joel Wood, assistant professor in the School of Business and Economics, was featured in Maclean’s third annual chart-watch, which asked economists, investors, analysts and financial commentators to submit what they think will be an important chart Canadians should watch in the year ahead.

Wood suggests 2017 will be an interesting year to track Alberta’s per-capita gasoline demand after a carbon tax takes effect in that province on Jan. 1.
