Dear Colleagues,

TRU is moving from its current version of FAST Finance (Finance Classic Reporting) to the new version, Finance Reporting.

We have provided all current FAST Finance Classic Reporting users with FAST Finance Reporting. You will see the new option in your FAST applications menu. If you do not currently have FAST Finance access but think you need it, please fill out an ASAR form. Be sure to include what FUNDs and ORGNs you need access to and forward to your supervisor for approval.

The new module provides an updated user interface with many additional features and functions that help create a more user-friendly reporting tool. Feel free to start moving around the module and familiarizing yourself with it or visit the FAST Finance Reporting website for further information.

Nadia Munro from Millennium Software will be onsite during the week of Aug. 22-26. All training sessions will be held in Computer Lab OM1330. Please contact Tanis Carmichael at tcarmichael@tru.ca to register for a training session (see following schedule for August training session dates and times).

Campus-wide training sessions: General Finance Transition Course

8:45 – 10:15 a.m. Aug. 23, 24, 25

10:30 – 12:00 p.m. Aug. 23, 24, 25

*Aug. 24 session is a drop-in open lab

Training take-away handouts will be provided for in-class participants. In-class training exercises will be provided so that participants can get some supervised practice to work through the new features.

We will be offering additional training throughout the fall and winter to those that were unable to attend one of these sessions. Watch for follow up emails with additional training dates and times.

Finally, please note that FAST Finance Classic Reporting will not be available as of March 31, 2017, so please make yourself familiar with the new module through online resources and/or the training sessions provided.
