This poster advertises the town hall for the Campus Master Plan on Nov. 19. Two other town halls are scheduled for November, with both seeking input into the Strategic Priorities guiding TRU for the next five years. See information below.

With three town halls seeking input on two different topics this month, TRU hopes to be the talk of the town.

Strategic Priorities

On Monday, Nov. 18, Strategic Priorities is on the agenda for the town hall scheduled from 4 to 6 pm in the Mountain Room of the Campus Activity Centre. The community is being asked for its input on the themes generated that have emerged over the past few weeks of consultation, and begin the process of deciding of how TRU could further advance each of these priorities in the next five years. A second Strategic Plan town hall is planned for Nov. 26 at the Coast Kamloops Hotel and Conference Centre, Columbia Room for 6-8pm.

“Based on input on the Strategic Priorities so far, we are meeting our goal of hearing from all our key stakeholders: students, faculty, staff, alumni and members of all the communities we serve,” said Katherine Sutherland, Co-Chair Strategic Priorities Committee. “For the town halls, we welcome efforts by any group to get their representatives out. All are welcome!”

Campus Master Plan

On Tuesday, Nov. 19 the topic changes to the Campus Master Plan.
This community consultation runs from 4-6 pm in the Mountain Room of the Campus Activity Centre and continues the University Village development discussion, after recommendations and input from a public process that started in February.

“The Campus Master Plan will guide future development of the TRU campus over the long term so it’s important that community have a final opportunity to comment on the extensive work that has been done so far,” said Matt Milovick, VP Administration and Finance.

For both consultations TRU will be making extensive use of online media, encouraging discussion through Twitter and Facebook as well as comments by email. The details are also on the TRU Homepage.
