Thompson Rivers University has released the second public survey in its Strategic Priorities Consultation process.
Questions in the second survey were distilled from the 1,700 responses in the first survey and received from students, faculty, staff, administrators, and the community.
In the second survey, participants are asked to rank their top seven priorities and to comment on the rankings. The second survey closes Nov. 4 at 4:30pm Pacific Time.
“It’s an exciting process setting the priorities for Canada’s first modern University,” said Alan Shaver, TRU President and Vice Chancellor.
“We are hearing from people connected to TRU, in their own words, about where they think TRU needs to focus its time, effort and funds over the next five years.”

SURVEYS BACKGROUNDER
The surveys present priorities taken from existing TRU planning documents, including the TRU Government Mandate, the 2007-2012 Strategic Plan, TRU Mission Statement, and the TRU Academic Plan.
The surveys will be supplemented with face-to-face consultations, and consultations at a distance and through a blend of both – exactly like TRU programs. The consultation process will continue until December, 2013.
