Local food shines at farm2chefs fundraiser

TRU Culinary Arts alumni and students will be among the participants serving up one-bite dishes and local beverages at the second annual farm2chefs culinary grazing event at Thistle Farm on August 12.

The Thompson-Shuswap Chef-Farmer Collaborative brings together local chefs, wineries, breweries, food producers and entertainers to showcase the culinary bounty of our region.

Culinary Arts grad Alison Sawyer serves up locally-grown food at the annual farm2chefs fundraiser for the Thompson-Shuswap Chef-Farmer Collaborative.

Tickets to the family-friendly event are available at the TSCFC website or the Kamloops Farmers Market each Saturday. Funds raised will support the TSCFC’s micro-loan and grant program.

The Thompson-Shuswap Chef-Farmer Collaborative is a non-profit society with a mission of connecting local farms with local restaurants, helping move locally grown food from seed to plate.
