British Columbia Society of Respiratory Therapists (BCSRT) commended the Thompson Rivers University Mobile Center for Respiratory Health and Sleep Science.
The website wrote, “Student education is the cornerstone of this important outreach program. Through the energy, commitment, enthusiasm and hard work of student respiratory therapists this university based program provides a service to our community that would be impossible to provide through normal health care delivery systems.
For the students it is an opportunity to gain valuable experience early in their professional development. For the public it provides a rare opportunity to work with professionals at a stage where their excitement and enthusiasm towards helping others is at its peak. Clearly this program is a winning formula for everyone who becomes involved.”
