UCC Actor's Workshop Mounts Fall Production

October 13, 2004

KAMLOOPS-The UCC Actors Workshop begins its 21st season with WIT, the Pulitzer Prize-winning play by Margaret Edson. WIT describes one woman’s journey of self-discovery as she deals with the complexities of cancer treatment. Portraying the struggles of Dr Vivian Bearing, a Professor of 17th century English poetry who specializes in the “Holy Sonnets” of John Donne, WIT is a very humane, moving, and at times, humorous play.

WIT plays in the Actors Workshop Theatre on Oct. 21, 22, 23 and Oct 28, 29, 30 at 8:00 p.m. All tickets are $10 each and can be purchased in advance at the Theatre Box Office, Monday through Friday from 11:00 a.m. to 2:00 pm or at the door on each performance night.

On Wednesday, October 20th, the Actors Workshop will stage a special by-donation-only performance, with all proceeds to Canadian Cancer Society. The Friday, October 29th performance is reserved for patrons of our annual Dinner Theatre in association with UCC’s Culinary Arts Program. Call local 5354 for tickets to this wonderful event.
