KAMLOOPS-The play’s the thing at UCC this summer, for people of all ages.

First-ever Summer Production at UCC
Live theatre in UCC’s Actors Workshop Theatre is on the card for June 16th to 19th, when 18 students involved in a play production course currently in session will present University by US director and playwright Jon Jory. University, a comedic series of vignettes showing what students learn on campus outside the classroom, is the first summer show ever to be staged at UCC.

Tickets are $10 per person, available at the box office June 7th to 18th from 11:00 am to 2:00 pm, and at the door each performance night. Shows start at 8:00 pm.

Drama Camp
The younger set will also be on stage this summer when the City of Kamloops Parks and Recreation Department brings a new Drama Camp program to the UCC campus this July. Participants will explore various aspects of drama, including improv and scene-building, reader’s theatre and story drama at each week-long day-camp.

Certified teachers form the UCC School of Education will lead two camps focused on building skills and confidence: the first, for children aged 9 to 12, will be held July 19th to 23rd, while the second, for adolescents aged 12 to 15, will be held July 26th to 30th.
