Year End Exhibition at UCC showcases Graduating Students' Art

KAMLOOPS-The public is invited to share in UCC’s Visual and Performing Arts Department’s celebration of its students’ Year End Visual Arts exhibition, entitled “Colportage,” at a gala opening on Friday, April 16, 2004 at 7:30pm in the Visual Arts Gallery.

“People can meet the artists and their instructors, help honour their achievements and enjoy refreshments and music,” said UCC Visual Arts instructor Lisa Henderson, adding that there will be a short opening ceremony.

The exhibition, featuring works by graduating students of the 2004 Fine Arts degree and diploma programs, runs from April 16 April 30 in the gallery. The multi-media exhibition was juried by instructors in the department and displays the best art produced by students in the past school year. Many of the works are priced for sale.

The UCC Visual Arts Gallery is located in Old Main Building next to Student Street. It offers changing exhibitions of student and faculty work throughout the school year and is open between 9:00 am 5:00 pm on weekdays and noon to 5:00 pm on weekends.
