Chinese Delegations On Campus

KAMLOOPS-UCC is looking to increase its opportunities related to students both from and in China as it hosts three separate delegations from that country next week.

On Monday , December 13th, UCC will host three delegates from Beijing Union University Pinggu College (BUU). This is the first visit to UCC for this delegation, whose primary purpose is to discuss educational collaboration opportunities between UCC and BUU.

On Tuesday, December 14th and Wednesday, December 15th, UCC will host a delegation of eight officials from the National Association of Teacher Education of China (NATEC). This will also be the first visit to UCC by this delegation, with an aim to further discussion on the possibilities of sending teachers from NATEC to participate in UCC’s Teacher Upgrading Program here in Kamloops.

Finally, on Wednesday, December 15th, and Thursday, December 16th, UCC will host a delegation of five officials from the Shanghai Institute of Technology (SIT), to discuss continued implementation and quality assurance of the UCC/SIT joint Business Administration Degree (BBA) program, which currently has 150 registered students.

This semester, 314 Chinese students are on campus in Kamloops studying Business, Arts, Sciences, Tourism, College Prep, Natural Resource Science, ESL, DAAD, CSOM, Nursing, and Fine Arts.
