A man who pleaded guilty to setting 14 fires in 2023 also shared misinformation and conspiracy theories about wildfires and climate change. Wildfire expert Dr. Mike Flannigan says that in reality, climate change is contributing to worse wildfires in a few ways. In addition to longer fire seasons and more lightning strikes, warmer air also sucks moisture out of vegetation, creating more dry fuel for fires. Read more
