Reuters | Canadian wildfires burning land at record pace

A Reuters survey showed that Canada (not including Yukon) employs around 5,500 wildland firefighters. That’s roughly 2,500 firefighters short of what is needed, said wildfire expert Dr. Mike Flannigan in June 2023. Read more
