Ukrainian students at TRU have created a first-of-its-kind interactive map that directs Ukrainian newcomers to resources across Canada. The online map includes information on all things Ukraine-related, including child care services, cultural centres and stores that carry a variety of Ukrainian foods. Dr. Oleksandr (Sasha) Kondrashov, associate professor in the Faculty of Education and Social Work at TRU, says the plan is to continue to “update and colour-code the map on a continual basis so newcomers will have an easy-to-use resource to find familiarity, networking opportunities and support.” Read more
